This project is driven by technical and material research, exploring different ways of creating through laser engraving. By carefully adjusting the laser’s power and speed, the process progressively “excavates” the plywood’s strata, carving through its layers to reveal the natural tonal range hidden inside the material.
As a result, the engraving unveils an organic palette within the wood itself: from the walnut’s characteristic tone to reddish hues, and even reaching almost white layers, depending on depth and controlled burning. All color comes directly from the support, with no added pigments.
These works are created without ink, without paint, and without added color — only through laser engraving and controlled combustion — turning graffiti into a physical object where texture and relief are essential to the final piece.
Each artwork is finished with a hand-applied varnish, enhancing contrast and the richness of the wood’s natural tones.
